The Mitsubishi Outlander has been voted 2017's Most Reliable Large SUV. What Car? have just published the results of their annual Reliability Survey where they asked the owners of more than 14,000 vehicles up to 3 years old whether they had experienced any faults during the past 12 months. Mitsubishi came out 2nd overall, and 1st in the Large SUV range.
What Car? asked drivers to say how long their vehicle was off the road being fixed, and how much the repairs cost. The collated information was then weighted according to the fault, with the most costly, and those being kept off the road the longest, being penalised most. This created the What Car? reliability rating against which 32 different brands (which included 169 models) were marked.
Reliability is the main reason people return to buy the same brand of car year after year, so being voted the most reliable vehicle is the most coveted award. Well done to everyone at Mitsubishi!
